The Minnesota Wild will honour music star Prince, who died this week, at Sunday nights game six showdown with Dallas.
The organisation changed some of it’s social media branding to use the colour purple, so frequently associated with the singer/songwriter, following the news that the 57-year-old had passed away, and have taken things a step further at the Xcel Energy Center this weekend.

Prince was born in Minneapolis, and became one of the states favourite sons throughout a career that spanned five decades, with his work celebrated across the globe during the past few days.
Minnesota must win Sunday nights game to keep their playoff hopes alive, trailing Dallas 3-2 in their Western Conference quarter final series.
Captain Mikko Koivu scored at 4:55 over the overtime period to stave off elimination on Friday in Texas, with goals also coming from Mikael Granlund, Jordan Schroeder and Nino Niederreiter. Goaltender Devan Dubnyk made 37-saves during the win.
The Stars were heavy favourites heading in to the series, after a strong regular season campaign saw them top the Central Division and claim the first overall seed in the West.
Minnesota on the other hand somewhat stumbled in to the playoffs, losing five straight games to close out the regular season. The Wild are also without arguably their best player, Zach Parise, who continues to struggle with a back ailment. Still, the Wild have been a hard defeat for the Stars, and are looking to complete the comeback tonight.
Should it be required, game seven will take place in Dallas on Tuesday.
